Saturn Girl
Imra Ada, also known as Saturn Girl, was a founding member of the League of Superheroes and the first Top Hero (No. 1 Pro Hero) of the age of Superheroes.

Appearance

.
Saturn Girl was a rather tall lady with a lithe, athletic build. She proudly showcased long (sometimes short) blonde hair and blue eyes, features that are a dominant family trait among her progeny. Her signature palette was a mix of whites and reds/pinks in meaningful patterns. Her Superhero costume is a red jumpsuit with white patterns in the shape of her emblem.

During a particular phase in her career, she donned an infamous, daring pink bikini-like outfit with long pink boots and gloves and the Saturn logo on her navel where the bikini top and bottom joined.
Personality
Saturn Girl was highly intelligent, both emotionally and logistically. She promoted a carefree and jovial attitude, while her constant vigilance often hid under layers of serenity and equanimity. Imra acted laid-back, while being on constant alert.
Saturn Girl believed that popular approval was the most important metric a Pro Hero should be judged for, since it is the task of a hero to put the citizens at ease. Saturn Girl showed a preference for the lower hero ranks as it would allow her more freedom and avoid the burdens of being a Top Hero. She once stated her wish was to patrol in a free, leisurely fashion and "take it easy."
Nevertheless, Saturn Girl was ferocious in regards to her Pro Hero duties, understanding the importance of a leader figure among all heroes and mutants. When around people she liked, she was very talkative and could have a prolonged one-sided conversation casually while helping dozens of civilians simultaneously in her area of influence.
She always seemed relaxed and under-challenged like most prodigies would be, but was in fact hard-working and under constant pressure with her Hero career.
Abilities

Telepathy
Saturn Girl was the third and last telepath capable of exerting control over other mutants and people around her. Her telepathy is considered S ranked, the highest ranking - making her more powerful than both her parents. With her telepathic powers Saturn Girl could read, receive, and broadcast thoughts at will. She could even manipulate the information another's brain receives to make them believe intensely realistic illusions.
Imra's mind could project powerful telepathic force bolts which could mentally stun, injure, or even kill beings as formidable as Voidwalkers (ref. she was more powerful than previous telepaths that have exhibited this skill). She could also create astral projections of herself and others. She had the ability to use her mind as a psi-link, allowing her to connect with others and allow them to communicate with one another.
She was able to mentally search areas as large as a continent to locate specific minds. Her mental powers evolved, allowing her to possess the ability of telekinesis. She showed the ability to move large objects with her mind.

Intellect
Imra was considered to be one of the most intelligent Leaguers as well as one of the most highly educated. She had a keen understanding of science and technology and possessed great intuition on a social and personal level. Due to her superior intellect as well as her mental powers, she was one of the four Leaguers deemed to be the greatest threat to any and all evil, interdimensional, galactic and otherwise.

Imra Ada was born in Titan in the 30th century to Bliss and Scott Ada, second generation mutants and the first 2 telepaths. From an early age Imra's telepathic ability was revealed to be the strongest psionic power of mutant-kind. Due to her great talent, in her teen years Imra began training to be a vigilante superhero. Fate intervened when she joined two other super-powered teens, Garth Rand and Rok Krauss (later known as Lightning Lad and Cosmos), in stopping an assassination attempt on billionaire R.J. Brande. Inspired by their heroism, Brande bankrolled the three teens and they became the founding members of the team known as the League of Superheroes.
Taking the code name of Saturn Girl, Imra went on to become one of the greatest and most dedicated Leaguers in the team's history.
She is considered the greatest Superhero and mutant that ever lived.

Lightning Lad
Garth Rand, also known as Lightning Lad, was a founding member of the League of Superheroes and subsequently, the husband of Imra Ada (Saturn Girl).

Appearance

Garth Rand was a sturdy, brusque man with a golden mane and eventually, a scruffy beard as well. He was of average height but muscular build. Garth had blue eyes to complement his hair and wore a sleek blue and white, lightning patterned jumpsuit with yellow bolts embroidered on his shoulders that lit up when his powers were in use.
Personality
Garth was a boisterous and outgoing guy with a fondness for bravado and machismo. Those who showcased a noble, brave, and/or determined attitude won him over, quickly earning his complete admiration, respect, and friendship. Similarly, he called out traits that were the opposite of that, such as cowardice and dirty play. Lightning Lad himself was determined and selfless, bravely putting the safety of others before his own.
Lightning Lad was very honest and kind-hearted, with a straightforward way of thinking and following a specific code of chivalry that motivated him to live without regret. Thanks to his respectful and encouraging attitude, he was easily capable of making friends with most people he encountered, particularly those that showed as much passion and resolve as he did. Loyal and dedicated to his friends, Garth was often willing to break laws and rules in order to help or save them.
Although he may not have been as hot-blooded as most expected, he did not shy away from competition or back down from a challenge, ever.
Abilities

Electricity Manipulation
Lightning Lad had the ability to generate electricity and direct bolts of electricity accurately. Lightning Lad could use his power destructively, such as to short-circuit electrical items, split boulders, burn objects with precision or shatter walls. He could also reduce the force of his bolts so that they would only stun. He could send his electricity through conductive metals.

He had a degree of immunity to electrical charge; in fact, they gave him more strength to use his power. Near the end of his career, after losing his arm, he had it replaced with a robotic one that was powered by his lightning power.

Origin
Garth Rand was born with dormant mutant genes (X-genes) to non-mutant parents with his twin, Ayla. Garth, Ayla, and their older brother Wills were joy-riding when their board lost power and came down on a pylon field. They devised a scheme to recharge their board's energy cells using the electrical grid. They underestimated the grid's power and were all bathed in electric energy. After their return with new-found powers, Wills disappeared. Garth left home to look for his brother. On his journey he helped two other super-powered teenagers foil the assassination of philanthropist R.J. Brande. Brande suggested they form a team - the League of Super-Heroes. Garth assumed the name Lightning Boy initially, but switched to Lightning Lad.
He became one of the most notable and most powerful members of the mutant community and is upheld to this day as the symbol of truth, comradery and bravery.
